Photography is a very difficult art. And wedding photography is quite possibly the hardest. Not only do you have to capture many different aspects of the event from the little details to the happy guests, but also all of the emotions between the bride and groom as they become one. Clay Austin, of Clay Austin Photography, does all of this tremendously, and with a sense of humor as well! Clay and I worked on a wedding together this past fall at Lowndes Grove and it has been one of my favorite weddings to date. Starting to incorporate more film photography into his events, his pictures evoke personality, love, and emotion.

Get ready to feel all of the feels, and get a good chuckle, out of Clay Austin’s spotlight. I know I did!

Today, I am thrilled to introduce you to one of Charleston’s most recent wedding vendor additions! Emily Kotarski moved down here from NYC to follow her dreams of creating semi-custom wedding gowns and let me tell you, they are incredible. With her adorable little shop right on King Street, you will definitely want to pop by to meet with her and to catch a glimpse of her beautiful creations. I know you did not come here to read what I had to say, so, with great pleasure, I introduce you to Emily!

Today, I wanted to say thank you for reading my little blog, The Petal Report. I am so glad that you are here! Because without you, none of this would be possible. For today’s post, I wanted to share some of the designs from my table settings I created for Hand Made Events when I worked on their PopUp Dinners. Incorporating a sign at every place setting saying “glad you’re here” made all of our guests feel welcomed and invited. (Want to learn about my experiences while in California and the many events I helped create?! Check out that post here!)

As always, y’all, thank you for reading The Petal Report! Enjoy these fun and creative shots from Sorella Muse Photography.
