So much has happened since my husband and I booked Cayleigh for our wedding over a year and a half ago. The plan was for Cayleigh to help Jeff and I plan our wedding in Charleston since we lived in Los Angeles, but soon after our engagement Jeff was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer and we had to immediately move to Houston for treatment. My husband and I first met Cayleigh at the beginning of our wedding planning process in Charleston, SC.  She was the absolute sweetest with the most contagious smile. To say she started with us from square one is an understatement. We had no idea what direction we wanted to go with neither the wedding nor colors. My daughter, future son-in-law and I met Cayleigh a year and a half ago in our search for a wedding planner.  After interviewing several planners, some with more years of experience, Derek suggested we choose Cayleigh because of her enthusiasm and a gut feeling he had that she would do a terrific job.   She more than proved herself.

Her first question was to Phoebe and Derek about how they had met.  This was the beginning of a very personalized experience.  That first meeting Cayleigh was extremely efficient and maximized our time together, which was very helpful coming from Virginia for a wedding in Charleston.  She laid out a budget for us, suggested what vendors we would need and soon after sent us a proposal.  I would highly recommend using her complete services rather than a partial or “day of” package.  She has contacts with the best vendors in town.  We came back down to Charleston for one long weekend during which we selected a caterer (after several wonderful tastings), the cake, florals, invitations and rentals.  Over the next few weeks she contacted vendors and set up contracts for us.  I had many friends and coworkers ask me over the next year how the wedding planning was going and I could honestly say it was completed and I was stress free.

The month before the wedding she patiently answered my multiple emails about last minute questions and put her flawless touch on details.  When we arrived in Charleston a few days before the wedding, she took a bunch of things to the reception venue for me so I could spend time with family.  The day of had her supervising the reception setup and getting the groomsmen together at the church.  Later that night at the reception, she made sure the bride and groom were having a good time, serving them food and drinks.  She also packed my car with wedding gifts just prior to a major downpour at the very end of the evening.
